How to Submit Your Loan Information for an Apartment Loan, Part 2

Last week’s blog had Part 1 on How to Submit Your Loan Information for an Apartment Loan. It started out with explaining that the process involves more than just sending in some information as if you were completing a form. It actually involves sending in information for a presentation. The file you send in has a major purpose of selling a lender on why they should want to give you a loan on your property.

In last week’s article Part 1, we covered the area of sending in good interior and exterior photos of your property – photos that honestly represent your property, but at the same time, show the property in ways that will tend to draw a lender’s interest.

In  Part 2, we are focusing on presenting the description of your property in a way that will tend to inspire a lender to want to give you a loan. You want to describe features of the interior and exterior that are attractive to a lender.

First, make a list of interior and exterior features that will help sell your property. Also ask people you know who are familiar with your property for the features they know that are attractive. They might spot some things that you didn’t think about.

To give you an idea of attractive interior features – include things like hard wood floors, new appliances, ceilings fans, granite counters, stunning views of the pond, master bedroom view of the gorgeous pool.

For exterior features – include things like beautiful plant and flower landscaping, shade trees, big fenced lawn with beautiful lush grass, big shopping mall, supermarket, major brand stores, schools, a park, hiking trails, bike trails, all nearby.

Second, write out your property description in a way that honestly represents your property, yet makes it irresistible to people when they read it.

Third, have fun. This is a creative process and the more fun you have with it, the more likely you will be to have a great property description.
